As I travel the roads of Texas, I see acre after acre of wildflowers, all planted and watered by a hand far too large to be human. The back roads of Texas are my favorite trails for wildflowers, but you can enjoy a visual feast of wildflowers without leaving the main highways. Even freeway road sides in Texas cities are splashed with bluebonnets, the state flower.
